About the Recipe
A delicious low calorie take on Asian chicken.
Ingredients
1 Tbsp sesame seed oil
4 to 6 skinless chicken thighs
salt, to taste
ground black pepper, to taste
Sauce
⅓ cup honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup low salt ketchup
½ tsp dried oregano
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Garnish
½ Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
3 sliced green onions
Preparation
Thoroughly mix sauce ingredients in small mixing bowl and set aside. This is best done well ahead of time to allow the flavors to combine.
Heat the instant pot in sauté mode. Add oil to pot.
Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Arrange in instant pot and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until slightly browned.
Add the sauce to the pot. Cover and lock the lid. Cook on poultry setting for 20 minutes.
Turn off the pot and allow to release the pressure, about 5 minutes. Transfer chicken to serving plate and ladle the sauce over the chicken. Garnish with sesame seeds and onion, and serve.
